Level 2 Engineering & Design Programme (Sixth Form entry)

Our Level 2 Engineering & Design programme provides a strong technical foundation for students who are passionate about pursuing a future in engineering, manufacturing, or design. This pathway is designed for learners who are ready to develop practical skills, build confidence in core subjects, and progress towards advanced technical qualifications.

What the course Includes:

  • A specialist Level 2 qualification in Engineering and Design, delivered through hands‑on projects and industry‑standard equipment.
  • The opportunity to progress to a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering 
  • GCSE English and Maths resit classes for students who have not yet achieved a grade 4, ensuring they meet essential entry requirements for further study or apprenticeships.
  • Access to Crewe UTC’s specialist facilities, including CAD suites, 3D printing, CNC machinery, and modern manufacturing tools.
  • A curriculum shaped by employer partners, giving students insight into real engineering environments and expectations.

Entry Requirements

To join the Level 2 programme, students must have:

  • GCSE English: Grade 3
  • GCSE Maths: Grade 3

Students with these grades will automatically take part in English and Maths resit sessions alongside their technical studies.
